Precision Multi-layer Coating: Building the Cornerstone of the Performance of Three-Proof Shaping Blackout Coated Curtain Fabric

During the production process of three anti - shaping blackout coated curtain fabric, three functional coatings need to be covered on the surface of the curtain fabric in a specific order to form a protective system that fits tightly and has a clear division of labor. The three-proof coating applied is the outermost line of defense. Its special fluorocarbon polymer material is evenly atomized through the spraying process to form a dense hydrophobic and oleophobic film on the surface of the fabric. The shaping coating applied subsequently uses thermoplastic resin to penetrate into the fiber gap by roller coating to build a stable cross-linked network. The last covered shading coating, with high refractive index pigments and nano-scale shading particles, can achieve precise thickness control through the scraping process. This multi-layer coating order is not set arbitrarily, but is based on scientific considerations of the functional characteristics of each coating: the three-proof coating resists external stains, the shaping coating maintains the stability of the fabric shape, and the shading coating achieves light blocking.
Precise shaping of three-proof performance
The spraying process of the three-proof coating is a key link in achieving the waterproof, anti-fouling and dustproof properties of curtain fabrics. The spraying equipment uses high-pressure airflow to atomize fluorocarbon polymer coating into tiny particles, which are evenly attached to the surface of the curtain fabric under the push of the airflow. During the spraying process, the air pressure, nozzle diameter and spraying distance of the equipment must be precisely controlled. Too high air pressure will cause excessive dispersion of paint particles, affecting the uniformity of the coating; too low air pressure may cause uneven coating thickness. The appropriate nozzle diameter and spraying distance can ensure that the paint reaches the fabric at the angle and speed, forming a continuous and complete protective film. When water droplets, oil or dust contact this layer of coating shaped by the spraying process, the extremely low surface energy prevents pollutants from penetrating or attaching, thereby achieving efficient protection.
Solid support for shaping function
The roller coating process of the shaping coating provides stable support for the shape maintenance of three anti - shaping blackout coated curtain fabric. The upper and lower rollers of the roller coating equipment evenly press the thermoplastic resin on the surface of the fabric through precise pressure and speed, and promote the resin to fully penetrate into the gaps between the flax fibers. Too much roller pressure may damage the fiber structure of the fabric, while too little pressure will not allow the resin to penetrate effectively; too fast a speed will to uneven coating thickness, while too slow a speed will affect production efficiency. During the roller coating process, physical entanglement and chemical bonding are formed between the thermoplastic resin and the fiber to build a stable cross-linked network. When the curtain fabric is frequently opened, closed, and folded, this network gives the fabric a "memory function", allowing it to quickly restore its flat shape, avoiding wrinkles that affect its appearance and protective performance, and ensuring that the three-proof coating and the shading coating always maintain the working condition.
Precise control of shading effect
The scraping process of the shading coating is the core technology for achieving efficient light blocking. The scraping equipment uses the relative movement of the scraper and the surface of the fabric to evenly scrape the coating containing high-refractive index pigments and nano-scale shading particles onto the fabric. The angle, pressure, and moving speed of the scraper directly affect the thickness and uniformity of the coating. Too large an angle may cause paint accumulation, while too small an angle will not form a shading layer of sufficient thickness; uneven pressure will cause the coating to be too thick or too thin in some areas, affecting the consistency of shading; unstable moving speed will cause stripes on the coating surface. By precisely controlling these parameters, the scraping process can control the thickness error of the light-shielding coating within a very small range, ensuring that every piece of fabric can absorb and reflect light with the same efficiency, almost completely blocking the penetration of visible light and near-infrared rays, and creating a quiet and comfortable light environment for the room.
Key process for stable performance
After each layer of coating is completed, a strict drying and curing process is the key to ensuring the stability of the coating performance. Different coating materials have different requirements for drying temperature and time: the fluorocarbon polymer of the three-proof coating needs to fully cross-link the molecular chain at a specific temperature to form a stable hydrophobic film; the thermoplastic resin of the fixed coating needs to go through the process of heating and softening, penetrating the fiber, and cooling and curing to build a strong cross-linked network; the pigments and particles in the light-shielding coating need to be fully integrated with the polymer matrix at an appropriate temperature to achieve the light and heat barrier effect. Too high a drying temperature may cause the coating material to decompose or damage the fabric fiber, and too low a temperature will not allow the coating to cure; insufficient drying time will reduce the strength and adhesion of the coating, and too long a drying time will increase energy consumption and production costs. By precisely controlling the drying curve, each coating is ensured to be fully cured and tightly bonded to the fabric fibers, ultimately forming a stable and efficient protection system, allowing the performance of the three anti - shaping blackout coated curtain fabric to be brought into play for a long time.
